Research Rally

Research translates to COMMUNITY is the premise of the annual CARD RESEARCH RALLY to be held in October at the Memorial Center in Libby, MT. CARD in collaboration with ATSDR and Mount Sinai School of Medicine will be hosting this fun and educational event which will provide an opportunity for community members to visit and ask questions of researchers regarding the multiple research projects that are taking place at CARD and within the Libby community.

The RESEARCH RALLY is a fun way to engage community members and researchers in a fun and educational event. “CARD Research is a Community Project” and we hope all community members recognize the important role each person plays in supporting asbestos health research activities. Research is a valuable and exciting thing happening at CARD today. This community wide and family friendly event will encourage community members to interact with the research teams, encouraging understanding of projects and develop camaraderie with the researchers to make research successful.

Each of our Research Partners will be represented at the Rally and will be presenting their research from their own project booth, as well as providing dedicated presentations regarding their specific projects. CARD would like to share this opportunity to learn and engage in asbestos research to the community at large. We have an exciting, thought provoking, fun filled event planned for all ages. There will be games and prizes, fun interactive learning booths, and opportunities to speak with present researchers one on one, not to mention FREE popcorn, balloons, hot dogs, snow cones & cotton candy! As you can see this is not your normal, educational event. This is an exciting opportunity to bring the whole family down and have a fun evening out, while learning about asbestos related research.

Plan on coming out and having a good time, as well as showing your support for CARD, research and your community. We can’t wait to see you there!
